The weather over north-central Italy can be unpredictable, but for Fabio Massaro, rain has never been a problem—just a challenge to overcome. The story of FD Isolamenti SRLS officially began at the end of 2021 and took shape in early 2022, with a clear goal: to fill a crucial gap in the construction industry and become a leader in the rental and installation of temporary metal roof covers.

The idea behind the company was simple, yet revolutionary for many construction sites: to let contractors renovate and insulate roofs at any time of year, without worrying about water damage or weather-related delays.

Building on more than 16 years of experience in the industry, the team led by Fabio Massaro rolled up its sleeves. The first few months were a whirlwind of complex logistics, long miles in vans loaded with equipment and sheeting, and the need to prove the effectiveness of its systems. The story of Marco’s construction company

The sky over Turin had suddenly turned leaden. It was a Tuesday in November, and work was in full swing on the roof replacement of a large apartment building dating back to the 1970s. Marco’s construction company, a local contractor, had just removed the old, worn-out tiles. The roof was completely “bare,” exposed to the elements.

Just a few years ago, a situation like this would have caused panic. Marco would have watched the weather forecast on his phone with his heart in his mouth, shouting to the workers to quickly throw the usual blue plastic tarpaulins over the roof and hoping the wind wouldn’t rip them off. No one would have slept that night, fearing a furious phone call from the top-floor tenant whose ceiling was flooded.

But that Tuesday, the atmosphere on site was remarkably calm.
